( シムシティJr.) and was published by Imagineer exclusively in Japan. The Super Famicom version of SimTown is titled SimCity Jr. Macintosh version was released in May 1995. SimTown was one of the many 'Sim' spin-offs at the time, and was targeted more towards children. SimTown allows the player to construct a town consisting of streets, houses, businesses and parks and then control the people in it. ![]() SimTown is a 1995 video game published by Maxis, much like the best-selling SimCity but on a smaller scale. As you go through the quests & hobbies you’ll get to build restaurants, more fashion stores, the bowling alley, the kids indoor playground, and the movie theatre.Macintosh, Windows, OS/2 Warp 4, Super Famicom You will get free clothes as soon as the building is finished though. The Sunset Mall is cheaper but there are a lot of quests & hobbies you need to complete before unlocking the whole mall. Fret not, you can still build single or double-storey apartments without doing the DD quests. As a reward, you get to build 3-storey penthouses. Takes up a whole lot of money & time to finish these. Then there’s the Downtown Development quests, 4 I think. The Downtown High School is also really boring, it unlocks the class clown hobby, you’ll get a teacup pig if you finish it in time, but once you finish this hobby you can’t do much no jobs/school enrolment. ![]() Shame that our simtown patients can’t use the hospital. It also takes awhile for MOs/nurses/doctors to collect enough resources to upgrade everything in the hospital (like the movie studio and the police station). I built the Simtown Express first because I wanted to unlock the hospital.
